Initial Storyboard
So this is my storyboard for now. Still not sure if everything can fit in 30 seconds, will maybe make some minor changes to it like cutting out the gladiator scene to just the interactions with the royal families and fix the ending a little bit. Will try to get the colour script done and ready by next week.

ReplyDeleteI just looked at your storyboard. The story is pretty simple and direct. I think it would work perfectly for a commercial. But you're right, the story here is definitely longer than 30 seconds, so you have to trim a lot of scenes out before calling it a final version. I suggest you to take out the part where the character interact with the king and queen, leaving only the part where she takes a selfie with the gladiator. I think that would be enough.
This is how I imagine your story: introduction shot of your character -> she looks at the object -> adjust the camera and take a photo -> something happens -> she enters the colosseum -> explores further by interacting with the gladiator -> end.
In my opinion i think this should be enough to show your product in action as well as having a complete story. At this point you should try reducing as many scene as possible, your story is good already.
Your post helped me with my storyboard as well haha, because I'm still struggling with how to be able to tell and sell well at the same time.

Hi Long, sorry for the late reply but I did take your feedback into consideration, but I switched out gladiator scene and decided to keep the king and queen scene.
