Animatic (updated with Sound and Ident)

Hi guys, this is how the TVC is gonna look like with music. Honestly, I find it quite difficult to find suitable music for the animation, so I guess I'm going to use this for now until I come across a more suitable one.

I tried to modify the animatic a bit in Premiere to match the beat of the music and also realize that the music for the ident isn't copyright free so I changed that as well.

Overall, the mood that the music is giving can be a bit confusing in my opinion, but right now I feel it gives out a more serious tone rather than a funny goofy vibe.

Few things that I realize that I could have done is maybe start searching for the soundtrack earlier while still developing the storyboard because I feel like it can be easier while designing the scenes to match the tone of the music.

The second thing is that I realize that the TVC doesn't have much dynamic movement for the "animating" part. And honestly, there is much more stuff that I realized that I can do better at but considering the deadline is near, all I can do is just stick to this plan from the start and try to make the best of it. I will try to make up the "lack of animation" with better visuals, so maybe that can balance it out haha.

Would love to hear your feedback about the music and the animatics, and also some music recommendation (if you have any). :)

  2. Hi Brandon!

I think your cinematography is well done. I notice that you seem to be going towards an almost fantasy themed feel. The music you have chosen to use fits it well.

I hope to see more from you! Please keep us updated on the work you have!

  4. I love how the idea of exploration in snippets of time and the flow of the timeline. The main character is well thought and the expression hit at the right time.

    Note:
At time 0:14 to 0:16 as the girl pan from picture to the scene, I would suggest that there is an added motion of her moving towards the building.

At time 0:16 to 0:18, perhaps add in a slight POV panning towards the building to allow dynamic movement into the royal podium.

    At time 0:19 to 0:20
Maybe zoom is closer, so the character is visually more obviously seen in the shot.

    At time 0:24
Possible to change the glaze of the character eyes and more S shape to the body as she adjust herself to be seated

    At time 0:29 to 0:30
The logo animation should start once the fade off to black is at 70%? So it is a better flow.

    At time 0:35 to 0:36
At the burst of the flash, the words “New Ways To Experience” should appear as the flash ebb away, to bring context to ZAHN logo
